PRIVATE YOGA/ YOGA THERAPY

A private yoga session is a continuous discussion and adjustment as the participant progresses in her practice. If there is a goal in mind, we will work together in stages to achieve that goal. If there is an injury or concern, we may use yoga props or variations to mitigate that injury. Depending on the interests of the participant, a practice can be form based or include breath-work, chanting, visualisation, and meditation.

PRENATAL AND POSTNATAL YOGA

Prenatal yoga is an opportunity for you to take time out of your busy schedule to bond with your bump in Singapore. It’s an undisturbed time to experience a growing baby within you. While you practice uniting breath with postures (asanas) it creates a moment of mindful connection with you and your baby within.

TRAUMA SENSITIVE YOGA​

7-weeks Trauma Sensitive Yoga Program (Grounding + TCSTY + Meditation)

Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is developed at the Trauma Centre at the Justice Resource Institute in the US by David Emerson and David Emerson and trauma expert, Dr Bessel van der Kolk, and the programs are solidly based in trauma, attachment theory, neuroscience, and yoga. Centered in practices of invitation, choice, and mindful body awareness (interoception), Trauma Sensitive Yoga can help people who are living with trauma to release tension, strengthen their sense of self by learning to tolerate physical sensations.

YOGA FOR CHILDREN/PARENT AND CHILD

Children age four to 15 years can get into yoga and play. Kids will be taught different poses, both individually and in teams, and will learn the traditional pose names and stories behind each graceful move. Mini yoga pupils are encouraged to explore through their yoga movements and their creative expressions of different forms.

Meditation and breathing exercises are also included to give your child a sound knowledge of this ancient art and inculcate mindfulness.

Parents can also choose to participate and bond with their children through partner yoga and games. In this way, possibly fostering a deeper bond and trust as the child gains confidence to explore new yoga forms.

YOGA FOR THE SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN

Connection becomes real when we realise our shared humanity. The prerequisite in Yoga for the Special Child, founded by Sonia Sumar, is Connection. Connecting to the heart of each special child, to see the child for the individual that he/she is and to recognise the gifts that this child brings. Then, Yoga can take place.

Many times, children with special needs are treated as children to ‘fix. Medical proffesionals identify what is wrong with them and look for solutions. This approach might miss recognising the beauty and innocence in special children.

Yoga classes in the workplace enable employees to stay active and de-stress without interfering in the daily low of work. The practice of yoga is proven to create a positive work space, effectively improving productivity and energy levels throughout the course of the day.
